Bee Better Manitoba is a group of like-minded organizations who have come together with a common goal - to inspire and empower Manitobans to protect, conserve and create pollinator-friendly habitat at home and in their communities.

The web site was established with participation from business, academic, naturalist,  horticulture, gardening and landscape maintenance communities. Their perspectives were used to help guide content on this website and will continue to be a resource to the website team.  Special thanks to Assiniboine Park Conservancy, University of Manitoba Sustainability Office, Manitoba Association of School Business Officials, Manitoba Finance - Accommodation Services Division and Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries for providing representation to support the website.

The Website Team is comprised of the following specialists:

  • Sarah Semmler, Director, The Living Prairie Museum, City of Winnipeg
  • Dr. Rob Currie, Professor and Head, Department of Entomology, University of Manitoba
  • Jean Dorge, Grounds Manager - Legislative Campus, Manitoba Finance - Central Services
  • Cindy Choy, Director - Green Building Co-ordination Team, Manitoba Sustainable Development
